iF Design - Porsche - 70 years Poster Series
Porsche has manufactured extraordinary sports cars for 70 years. This poster edition honors the company's most outstanding models, using seven motifs to celebrate seven milestones in the history of the company. From the legendary 356 "No.1" Roadster from 1948, the birth of the sports car brand, to the Porsche Boxster and into the future with the Porsche Mission E—the posters strongly express the timeless fascination of sports cars. Clean images of these sporty icons are staged in settings that depict each car's decade, origins and attitude. Each background image also includes one of the seven letters of the brand name PORSCHE.
The blue Porsche 911 Carrera RS poster features a car that is considered by many to be the most classic 911 ever built. This iconic race car was designed to meet motorsport requirements, the RS in its name standing for the German word for ‘race sport’. It featured a larger engine than the standard 911 S, stiffened suspension, and an iconic ‘ducktail’ rear spoiler. In total, 1,580 were made between 1973 and 1974, all of which qualified for the FIA Group 4 class.
