The fuel filter on your vehicle is responsible for removing small particles from the fuel before it enters the engine. This is to prolong fuel system and engine life by keeping contaminates out of sensitive engine components. Unfortunately, in the process of removing these small contaminates from the fuel, they get trapped in the fuel filter. Over time, these contaminates will clog the fuel filter, reducing fuel flow, thus adversely effecting engine performance.
