Two senior year students of a Texas school are facing third-degree felony charges after their ‘fart spray’ prank went horribly wrong. Diego Flores, 18, and David Navarrete-ArceCaney, 17, were behind the senior prank that caused an odour so bad, the Creek High School in Conroe, near Houston, had to be evacuated twice to identify the source on May 3 and 4, according to ABC.Seven students were hospitalised due to headache and nausea caused by the stench released from cans labelled “fart spray”, which are deemed prohibited weapons according to Texas police.Although they were discharged from the hospital within a few hours of receiving medical attention, an investigation by the Conroe Independent School District has found the seniors liable for a third-degree felony charge.“We can affirm that even the initial evidence outlined in the charges indicates that this incident goes beyond the scope of a benign school prank,” the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office said in a statement to ABC 13.According to Diego and David's arrest warrants, the spray was “capable of causing adverse psychological and physiological effects on a human being.However, the repercussions may not necessarily follow the textbook definition of a felony.While being mindful of these details, we also fully understand and acknowledge the youth of the individuals involved in this case. The potential for impulsive decisions, especially among younger individuals, is a factor we consider during our pursuit of justice,. the district attorney's statement read.
