The MX500 was Crucial's first consumer Solid State Drive (SSD) to utilize Micron 2nd generation 3D TLC NAND Flash, a technology that not only improves on performance and overall cost, but also promises larger capacities upward of 2TB. When the MX500 Series first launch back in 2018 we published a Crucial MX500 1TB SSD review, however, our methods for Linux SSD benchmarking wasn't as verbose and lacked informative data.
