Cette version résout le principal reproche que l'on puisse faire à l'iPad d'entrée de gamme, à savoir sa capacité de stockage de base de 32 Go très limitée. Autre bon plan, l'iPad Air 3 (l'avant-dernière génération) à 469 €, soit 100 € de moins qu'à sa sortie. Il n'a « que » 64 Go de stockage, mais il a plusieurs avantages sur l'iPad 8 : il est plus fin, plus léger et son écran est plus agréable (écran laminé avec revêtement antireflet et fonction True Tone).
